They can also be used to secure a mortgage and get a a home. In essence, they are designed to promote personal success in something that would benefit you and your community.
You can qualify for a personal grant by filling in an application provided by the organization offering the grant. This application is reviewed and then a decision is made on it. This process of filling in an application, submitting it in, and waiting for approval need not take weeks or months. In fact, it’s possible to get approved and receive your funds in as little as a week.
Although a personal grant, unlike a loan, is free money, funds that you don’t have to pay back and that do not accrue interest, you have to use it for the purpose intended and not for anything you please. For example, if you get a personal grant for securing a mortgage, then it is a violation of your agreement to spend the money on building a business. Of course, there is nothing wrong with building a business, but if that was your intention, you should have applied for a personal grant specifically for starting a new business. When you use a personal grant for anything other than the purpose intended, you have to repay the grant back in full.
